The MILANO Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit is made up of two parts, the longer part houses the battery and micro-electronic atomizer that drives the cigarette, and the smaller part houses the flavored nicotine cartridge.

Milano electronic cigarette only produces a harmless vapour, so it does not expose others to secondhand smoke. Internal content of e-cigarette only gets heated up, but it never lights up or creates an open flame. This makes electronic cigarettes safe to smoke even in places like petrol stations. This product can be used safely and legaly in most public places, like pubs and busses. Currently electronic cigarettes are so videly accepted, that you'll find them sold in many pubs and restaurants.

Milano electronic cigarette provides smoking experience in every way similiar to smoking an ordinary tobacco cigarette. Apart from the birght LED and slightly heavier weight created by the internal battery and electroncis, it feels just the same as traditional cigarette. Replacable cartridge inside the Milano cigarette contains nicotine, which is delivered directly to your lungs as a vapour. That satisfies smoker's nicotine craving, not unlike nicotine gum or nicotine patch.

There is one important distinction between the vapour produced by the electronic cigarette and smoke coming out of the classic tobacco cigarette. While electronic cigarette smoker inhales the vapour, his body retains 98% of the nicotine, so almost no nicotine comes out in the exaled vapour. Contrary to this, exaled smoke of the original tobacco cigarette contains large quantities of tar, carbon monoxide and other toxic substancies. From this it can be seen that electronic cigarette's vapour doesn't create passive smoking problem. That is the main reason why it is legal to use this product in the public places.

I've been smoking it in my room and around the house all day and no one has noticed any smell from it, the smoke smells like the taste of the cig and may linger for a few minutes, but other than that there is no nasty smell at all.

It doesn't fully substitute a normal cigarette, but it certainly helps the craving for one, more so than any nicotine gum or patch.

The reason I didn't give this product 5 stars was because of the taste, everything was ok for me, but you can buy flavored cartridges, and on that note I won't fret too much.

I've had this for a week or so now, and although it's never going to be exactly like a cigarette, you do get used to it quite quickly. I'm not inordinately fond of the original tobacco flavor, but Milano are apparently bringing out a range of alternative flavors quite soon. There's a certain knack to getting the best out of it (especially as the battery runs down/cartridge runs low - at this point two short puffs and one long one is a method I use).

Overall, I'm quite impressed. I still have reservations about inhaling large amounts of propylene glycol (which has apparently been deemed safe - it's used as a food additive, tho in much smaller amounts I think). So it's nice after a meal, but I don't intend to use it too much just yet (I think I may continue to use my nicorette inhalator the rest of the time). As far as health benefits go I'd say it's infinitely preferable to smoking. And it's more fun than...well, you know - the "C" word.

Well it has arrived and I have tried it out! All in all it is probably the closest to actually smoking that I have found yet! It is the taste and the sight of the "smoke" exhaling that make the difference. In fact it is so life like that I am unsure if I would be comfortable using it a public place where smoking is banned!

One word of warning - there are several models and the cartridges are not interchangeable. So be sure to buy the right ones!
